German Foreign Minister Baerbock complained about being asked outside the EU where Ukraine is.
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said on Tuesday that during her travels around the world she was repeatedly told that people are not interested in the situation in Ukraine and even asked where the country is.
“I can understand that the threat from this war is perceived differently here in Latin America than it is in Europe. I heard everywhere in the world:“ Where were you when we needed you? ”And also:“ Where , actually, is Ukraine?”,” Baerbock said in her speech in Sao Paulo.
Outside of Europe, she says, many people are more interested in what’s going on with supermarket prices than what’s going on in a country thousands of miles away. However, according to Baerbock, it was the armed conflict in Ukraine that led to rising food prices around the world.
