In Odessa, near the railway station, employees of the military enlistment office have detained popular musicians from the Kyiv-based band “Junket” who came to give a charity concert at one of the city’s clubs on June 9.

The group had planned to perform at the local More Music Club on June 9, with a portion of the proceeds intended to be donated to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, the three musicians were unable to reach the club.

“We stepped away from the station, and then 4-5 military personnel and one police officer appeared. No one introduced themselves, they just took us to the military enlistment office for inspection. Upon entering, our phones were confiscated, and we were sent for a medical examination, where everything is always fine. Then we were taken for X-rays at another military enlistment office. They never returned our phones. We spent the time from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm just sitting and waiting for them to take us back for our phones,” the musician said.

Later, the musicians learned from one of the military enlistment office staff members that they would be taken to the airborne assault forces in the Zhytomyr region.

The musicians also added that their phones, which had been previously confiscated by the military enlistment office staff, were returned to them.
