NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said this in an interview with Bloomberg.

In this regard, the NATO secretary general calls on the bloc’s member states to increase their spending on the Alliance to at least 2 per cent of GDP as soon as possible and to sign more contracts with defence companies.

“What we really need is the signing of contracts, because then industry will be ready to invest and ramp up production. At the moment the Allies have depleted stocks to be able to support Ukraine – this is not sustainable, so we need to ramp up production to meet these new and more ambitious targets,” – Stoltenberg said.
